I DONT KNOW .. IT WAS ALMOST COMFORTING TO KNOW YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY PERSON TO HAVE FELT THOSE FEELINGS...AND TO READ THEM FROM A WOMAN I ALREADY ADMIRE... BRAVO SIS... Hey Katlyn: I enjoyed checking out your site and links, but it was the story that took my time more. The story line and the subjects placed in it are very similar to some i faced as a child, (the young mommy) i really could relate to that as i started being a young mommy at age 8, due to my mum being ill. I looked after my sister from age 1 and did the chores for the family of 5 in total not including a father. Then i lost my mother at age 14 from pills and drink and suicide and then i turned to drink myself, just like her turning to food in the story, its a way of escaping life or a way to make others hate you hence the need to stop the/her abuse. Everyone has a way out or a way of handling things. So to that i could see how draining it was and the need to disappear to a place that gave you a sence of a childhood. Her sexual abuse was one pain i could not relate to but i know of these victims and the strain and hate they develop inside - i could understand your story line. I have been around these kind of subjects and your read showed a picture that myself and many can relate too. I enjoyed reading your works and it was a reality read. Well done for catching the real feelings. Missy

This is my review: What a powerful book, and a couragous character you have in this book. I could not put it down until I had read the entire thing. That nightmares echo is deep. Really deep. Excellant book.I'll make sure I buy a copy and read the rest of it. I'll admit I'm not into romantic novels so I didn't read the other two. Hi Kat, wanted to tell you I read the chapters you have on the rosedog web site. At first, i didn't think i would like the book, Nightmares Echo...as it dealt with abuse and I thought, "oh great, yet another book on abuse"...But as I read it, it captured my attention...I was rooting for the little girl that found simple pleasures out of visting Grandmas house or going to play with a friend..Especially when my own children worry about silly things such as the new $60.00 pair of pants as being thier "simple" pleasure. This is a fantastic book, I hope you do very well with it, you deserve the recognition...regards, Diane
