Benevolent
Before you this sweet child stands
Hair of auburn flowing strands
Eyes of green deep sorrow plays
Of turbulent waters emotion lays
Pleas of despair cutting the still air
Wanting reaching for you there
Looking back toward this child
A woman emotion jaded and wild
Pacing searching reaching higher
Looking for that hidden inner fire
Tied and bond her heart stays
Promises made of changing her ways
Her journey pain often prevails
Hearing the distant pangs a child wails
Tear stained hands touch the earth
Praying angrily to find her worth
On bended knee shouting her plea
Jaded pain rises wanting to flea
This pain I carry you bestow
The gates before me now you show
Shall I be given the right to pass
My soul and spirit a tangled mass
Spare me from this you give
You gave me breath to live
Where is the comfort your hand
Footsteps beside me in the sand
Lost to me the joy of love
Eyes turned looking above
Do you see the child that cries
Living with the worldly lies
Was the plan to take from me
The innocent child you see
Forgive I am suppose to do
Live according to the word of you
Blood stained hands touch my flesh
Foul stench of them that try to mesh
Coldness consumes the inner recesses
Vultures taking leaving shattered pieces
Child you feel I have turned on you
Deep inside see the softness I do
Safely held in my hand this child
Her heart filled with love so mild
They that took from you your flesh
Guarded and tender the heart can flourish
